Developing a new under-seat system for the Triumph Daytona 675 was a challenge. The Staintune R&D technicians achieved a gain of 3 static horsepower over the standard exhaust system on the in-house dyno. This was achieved with a newly developed under-seat slip-on exhaust and no engine modifications. Fitting a complimentary SFi unit or engine management upgrade will only enhance the 675 triple cylinder’s responsiveness. On the track test there was a huge gain in throttle response and right from the bottom and through mid range.
I want to know about the sound:
The Under-Seat Muffler sounds fabulous on the Daytona 675. It’s a note that turns heads, if you do a U Turn it will snap necks! The Daytona 675 single under-seat system has the unique Staintune removable restrictor which allows the system to be ADR compliant with the restrictor in, which can be removed for those intermittent “ride days”
Restrictor Fitted: 94 dba @ 6300 rpm
Restrictor Removed: 101 dba @ 6300 rpm
There is a weight saving of 2.6 Kilos
Have a look for yourself, this system runs with the tail line of the 675. The sleek muffler shape and intricate bracketing make it look 100 miles per hour standing still. The system is supplied in a mirror finish that you can see your opponents fading away in.
